ProRules Referees: Terry Gilbert, Tony Turner, Jeff Smith

Mission Statement.

Founded and launched in 1996, ProRules Pro-Am is a grassroots community training and development program for aspiring basketball officials.

Its purpose is to provide exceptional instruction to prospective officials who wish to elevate and hone their knowledge of officiating, both in the classroom and on the court, and who aspire to perform at the highest levels of basketball competition. The program identifies new and talented officials and regularly refers them for inclusion in nationwide basketball venues.

ProRules Pro-Amcontinues to be instrumental with guiding officials to improve their decision making skills, court awareness and communicative skills. To date, ProRules Pro-Am has enhanced the performance and overall skills of many officials who now referee in the professional ranks of the NBA, WNBA, NBDL, CBA, ABA, and the USBL. ProRules Pro-Am has equally assisted in the training and continued development of officials who currently referee in all 3 levels of Men/Women NCAA College conferences and Boys/Girls High School ranks.

Headed by its founder Terry Gilbert, ProRules Pro-Am utilizes a staff of  veteran officials from the ranks of professional and college basketball.  Our staff understands even the most nuanced fundamentals of the game, and can effectively teach those fundamentals in a highly approachable way.
